The Vanguard Forum for Healthcare leaders Europe connects senior leadership from across the healthcare and biopharmaceutical sectors with top-tier CEOs and advisors (from a range of industries) to collaboratively discuss and debate the challenges CEOs and senior executives face on a daily basis. The delegates, the vanguard of healthcare, are invited to gather for off-the-record, candid conversations about leadership, strategy, and talent.

9.05-10am:    The world of healthcare is rapidly changing, how do you and your team manage the threats and opportunities that this presents?

We will hear from faculty members about:

  • the trends and timings which could disrupt our existing model,
  • how can you objectively evaluate change – separating hype from reality and the real timelines,
  • how the leadership can put in place a culture of embracing change.

The faculty will explore the role of the board, the changing skills of the board and the more complex leadership challenges in balancing the pressures and threats.

There is a need to ride many different horses with the opposing requirements of the many different audiences influenced by populism, internationalism, news manipulation, social responsibility, etc.

Faculty members from the banks, financial institutions, will challenge the audience to show what they think is important and what they need to make a decision and to stay on board.

DEBATE – Ethics or profits. Is it possible to genuinely balance profits and society’s demands? And how, as a leader, do you keep your shareholders happy in the context of political and social pressures?

Well known historian and outspoken commentator David Starkey will chair a debate on this, potentially, controversial, topic.

Faculty members will interact with the delegates to challenge and discuss what it takes to be a leader in today’s world.
